Sublime Light Poem

"Secret Rapture"
by A. Andrew Gonzalez

Sublime Light

The light blossoms and circulates
Falling tenderly as a lover's kiss
Wherever it touches
A dancer is born

Arms outstretched
Orchestras trace each movement
Every color vibrates with the beating of a thousand wings
Contentment and peace are sheets of silk
Falling softly about
Brushing every surface
Enchanting each thought

In this place
There are no wolves
There are no dark enigmas
The gentle radiance is a shaman that explains all
With its simple presence alone

Poem "Ocean"

Ocean
There is an ocean that rises within
Like an orchestra from a conductor's baton
Filled with soft fingers of light
That comb my being with ethereal music

As it swells
A hush falls over every internal fretful child
That confided its cries in the night

My eyes become clear and I realize
Each looming phantom was always an old friend
In a flowing, gossamer gown
Asking me to tea

Poem "Aurora"

Photo is Ellie Goulding's Album Cover "Bright Lights"

Aurora

The sun peeks over a sleepy horizon

Trees rouse and reach their bare fingers

Towards a single, flickering angel

The ecstatic shift shakes the furrowed ground

Rattling seeds with the vibration of sudden Life

Frozen rivers exhale the disease of stagnation

While an emanating pulse fractures the gray

All shadows scamper like guilty dogs disappearing into the light

A vivid bird sheers the silence with its anthem, commencing all that breathes

Each bone and thought realigns without effort

And begins to speak simple poetry

The pipe organ declares an ancient song

Summoning the original stories from the belly of the earth

Dawn rises in the eye of the weary traveler

Infinity sprouts in the bones of the mortal

And all becomes animated

Ablaze with defiant, sublime magic

Remembering knowledge as one remembers color

True North

is a song that shakes the dust from the lips of the lost
