Poem "Aurora"

Photo is Ellie Goulding's Album Cover "Bright Lights"

Aurora

The sun peeks over a sleepy horizon

Trees rouse and reach their bare fingers

Towards a single, flickering angel

The ecstatic shift shakes the furrowed ground

Rattling seeds with the vibration of sudden Life

Frozen rivers exhale the disease of stagnation

While an emanating pulse fractures the gray

All shadows scamper like guilty dogs disappearing into the light

A vivid bird sheers the silence with its anthem, commencing all that breathes

Each bone and thought realigns without effort

And begins to speak simple poetry

The pipe organ declares an ancient song

Summoning the original stories from the belly of the earth

Dawn rises in the eye of the weary traveler

Infinity sprouts in the bones of the mortal

And all becomes animated

Ablaze with defiant, sublime magic

Remembering knowledge as one remembers color

True North

is a song that shakes the dust from the lips of the lost
